One dot per case, packed per group, with Tukey-fence outliers flagged and brushing to filter a range.

It is one of the five Operations extensions, general-purpose charts for operational data: volumes, statuses, hierarchies, durations and headline KPIs. Every one is dual-mode: the same code runs as a viz extension (a custom mark type on a worksheet's Marks card, Tableau 2024.2 and later) or as a dashboard extension that reads a feeder worksheet. Light and dark themes, and a demo mode on sample support-desk data.

Outlier Swarm needs row-level data

It plots one dot per case, so the worksheet has to return one row per case. A sheet with just a team and an average returns one row per team, and there is nothing to swarm: the extension detects that and says so. Put the row key (a ticket or case ID) on the Row key tile, or on Detail in dashboard mode.
