Metric Card, on a real Tableau dashboard.

This is Pradeep Kumar G's Sample Superstore dashboard, live from Tableau Public. The Metric Card replaces the monthly category trend: the number, the change on last month, and the trend under it. Click a state on the map and it recomputes for that state.

Loading the dashboard from Tableau Public…

Why it sits on top of the dashboard here: Tableau Public only loads extensions on Tableau's trusted list, so this page loads Metric Card itself and connects it to the embedded dashboard through the Tableau Embedding API. Same extension, same calls, the dashboard's own data. In your own Tableau Desktop, Server or Cloud you add it to the dashboard like any other extension. Dashboard by Pradeep Kumar G on Tableau Public.
